Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage. Transfer to your hotel in downtown Anchorage. Spend the afternoon to visit the many sights: the Anchorage Museum of History & Art with excellent showcases about the Russian Heritage, the Captain Cook Monument, the fish ladder near Ship Creek and Downtown. Stop at Lake Hood - the world's largest and busiest seaplane base. In the evening outdoor enthusiasts may stroll along the 12-Mile Coastal Trail with never ending view across Cook Inlet towards Mt. McKinley and the Alaska Range. Enjoy a seafood dinner with fresh crab, halibut or salmon in one of Anchorage’s restaurants. Overnight in Anchorage.

Anchorage - Talkeetna
Departure: 8:15 am / Arrival: 11:25 am
From Anchorage enjoy views of sweeping wilderness plains, sheer granite cliffs, and snowcapped mountain peaks. Imagine the views of the Matanuska Valley, home of 70-pound cabbages and strawberries the size of plums. Gliding past the Susitna River you may catch a glimpse at Mount McKinley, the tallest mountain in North America and truly the highlight of the trip. Once in Talkeetna you have the opportunity to attend a Jet Boat Safari, take a flightseeing tour around Mt. McKinley, walk through historic Talkeetna or explore the area.

Talkeetna - Denali National Park
Departure: 11:25 am / Arrival: 3:45 pm
Depart Talkeetna and continue your train tour to Denali National Park. Enjoy the scenic vistas of the Alaska Range and its five towering peaks as you cross mighty bridges like the one crossing Hurricane Gulch (at 265 feet, it's the tallest on the Alaska Railroad). Along the way, you will delight in the opportunity to see a variety of Alaskan wildlife such as moose, bears, caribou, wolves, Dall sheep, beavers and waterfowl. A truly once-in-a-lifetime thrill. Arrive in Denali Village in the afternoon.

Denali National Park
Early departure for a full day park and wildlife tour in the shadows of North America’s highest mountain - 20.320 foot Mt. McKinley. Watch for Grizzly Bears, Moose, Caribou, Wolf and Dall Sheep along the ridges and river beds or observe one of the 150 different bird species which inherit the park area. Take the bus as far as to Eielson Visitor Center (8 hr. round trip) with an immense view of the "Mountain". Bus Tour to Kantishna Roadhouse or Wonder Lake on request. Overnight in Denali Village.

Denali National Park - Fairbanks
Departure: 3:45 pm / Arrival: 8:15 pm
After departing Denali National Park the train enters scenic Nenana River Canyon and continues to Nenana – an early trading center for Athabascan Indians. Before reaching Fairbanks, the train crosses the Tanana River on one of the world’s longest single-span bridges. There’s time for dinner in the elegant dining room before arriving in Fairbanks. Fairbanks, known as the Golden Heart City of Alaska, is the gateway to the interior and features almost 24 hours of daylight during the summer months.
