RRV#17 - 7 Day Rocky Mountain Rail & Drive Vacation
Board the Rocky Mountain Railroad for a 2 day journey along the Yellowhead Route to Jasper. Pick up your Rental Car in Jasper and visit the sights and attractions of the Rocky Mountains - the Icefields Parkway, Banff, Lake Louise before returning your car in Calgary.

Vancouver Arrival
Arrive in Vancouver and spend time exploring this scenic city on your own or join our Deluxe Grand City Tour. Among the highlights is a visit to 1,000 Acre Stanley Park, English Bay, Granville Island, Chinatown, historic Gastown and prestigious Shaughnessy residential area. Admission to The Lookout atop Vancouver Harbour Centre with spectacular views of the city, mountains and ocean is included. Overnight in Vancouver.

Vancouver to Kamloops
Boarding: 7:30 am, Arrival: 5:35 pm
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountain Railroad from Vancouver to Kamloops in the interior of British Columbia. En route you will pass through the fertile Fraser Valley and the scenic Fraser Canyon. One of the canyon's true highlights is Hell's Gate, where you will watch water torrent past the canyon's walls at its narrowest point. Upon leaving the Fraser Canyon, the train will follow the Thompson River to the city of Kamloops. Overnight in Kamloops. Tonight you may join us to the Two River Junction Dinner & Musical Revue.

Kamloops to Jasper
Boarding: 8:00 am, Arrival: 5:55 pm
Back onboard the Rocky Mountaine rail you will follow the Thompson River through rolling plateaus into the snowy peaks of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Pass by Mt. Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3954 meters (12,972 ft), before entering Jasper National Park. Upon arrival in Jasper, collect your rental car and drive to your hotel. Overnight in Jasper.

Exploring Jasper National Park
Today is free to explore Jasper National Park with your rental car. Among the highlights are Pyramid and Patricia Lakes, Maligne Canyon, Miette Hot Springs, Maligne Lake and Whistler’s Mountain. Overnight in Jasper.

Jasper - Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise
Travel to Lake Louise via one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. Some points of interest along the way include Sunwapta Falls, Athabasca Falls, Peyto Lake and Bow Lake. At the Columbia Icefields you will have the opportunity to ride on a Snocoach (not included) to the middle of Athabasca Glacier. Overnight in Lake Louise.

Lake Louise to Banff
Before travelling to Banff, be sure to visit Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Besides these attractions, Banff National Park is home to many other natural wonders, including Johnston Canyon, Lake Minnewanka, Castle Mountain and the Hole-in-the-Wall. Overnight in Banff.

Banff to Calgary
Travel through Kananaskis Country and the ranching regions of Alberta before arriving in Calgary. Drop off your rental car in downtown Calgary or Calgary Airport where your vacation ends.
